My Recommendation:

I heartily recommend the free service Bloglines. Simply click the Bloglines button on this page and create a free account, which only takes seconds. You will see “John Brasher’s Covered Call Blog” as a subscription choice - just tick the box next to it and - boom - my blog is yours. Bloglines will send you a confirmation email, and you will need to respond by clicking the included link in order to confirm. You can read all your subscribed blogs right inside Bloglines and - even better - you can set Bloglines up to send you notifications of new posts to your blogs when they are published.

Important Bloglines Tips:

You can simply go to Bloglines and read your subscribed blogs, if you want. But - you can also subscribe to their notifier for Windows and other browsers, which notifies you that there are new blog posts to read, and if you’d like it will even make a sound when you get a notification. The notifier is located in the left-side frame on the Bloglines site.

Click the “Download Notifier” link on the left side of the page, then in the middle of the page click the download button for your OS (Windows, Mac, etc.), choose Run, and the little Bloglines icon will install in your system tray (for Windows, that is is the bottom of screen where volume control, etc., are located) - the icon is a little square with a “B” on it.

To use the notifier, take a few seconds to set it up. Right-click on the Bloglines icon in the system tray on your desktop and choose “Settings” - enter the email address where you want the notification to go. Then click OK and close the window. You will see when there is a new post to read - the little “B” icon will change and look like it’s on fire. Left-click the icon, which takes you to Bloglines, and then click on the left-side link for John Brasher’s Covered Call Blog to read the new posts. Very cool.
