CallWriter's
Privacy Policy |
|
|
LogiCapital
Corporation, the owner of CallWriter.com, and related company
CallWriter Seminars, Inc., have a firm commitment to privacy,
and your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. We deplore
the privacy abuses of personal information that have become
so common on the Internet, particularly by companies which
collect the most of it. By visiting CallWriter.com, you are
accepting the practices described on this web page. We do
not sell, rent or share your personal information with third
parties.
The
Information We Collect
When you subscribe
to CallWriter's free MONEY newsLETTER or for a free special
report, we collect your email address and name, and we may
collect certain information as to your trading experiences
and preferences that you choose to give us.
When
you subscribe to CallWriter's paid membership service, we
gather contact information (such as name and email address)
from you and financial information such as account and credit
card numbers. We use this information for our billing purposes,
to provide you information about CallWriter.com and LogiCapital
Corporation, to provide you with our information services
and to contact you when necessary. Credit card information
is collected to bill subscribers for products and services.
We know you
don't like giving out your address, email address, credit
card information and telephone number. Neither do we! So we
treat you the way we want to be treated.
From time to time,
we may collect demographic and profile data from our subscribers,
which you may provide or withhold at your discretion. We will
use this data to tailor your experience at our sites, showing
you content we think you may be interested in, and displaying
content according to your preferences.
We also receive
and store certain types of information whenever you visit
CallWriter or interact with us over the Internet, as described
below.
Cookies
and How We Use Them
Cookies
are small files (alphanumeric identifiers) that we transfer
to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser to
enable our systems to recognize your browser and to provide
features like "My Account"
for our paying subscribers. Cookies are also utilized
during the ordering process to help insure your order is handled
correctly and to make access to certain CallWriter features
easier.
The "help"
portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how
to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to
have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie,
or how to disable cookies altogether. However,
cookies allow you to take full advantage of some of CallWriter.com's
coolest features, and may be required to access certain areas
of our website.
For example, our
Trade Management Calculator™ stores data entered by
you relating to your trades in the form of cookies on your
computer. If you have cookies disabled, the calculator will
not remember your trades.
How
We Use Your Personal Information
Unlike many websites,
we don't make money by selling or renting your personal information,
which as you may know is a huge business. Your information
is shared with others in certain very limited instances, described
below.
- Related
Companies: We may share subscriber information with
current and future related and subsidiary companies, but
never with third parties.
- Agents:
We employ and have contractual agreements with other companies
and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples
might include fulfilling orders, delivering packages, sending
postal mail and e-mail, removing repetitive information
from customer lists, analyzing data, providing marketing
assistance, processing credit card payments, and providing
customer service. They have access only to such personal
information of yours as is needed for them to perform their
functions, but they may not retain it or use it for other
purposes.
- Law:
Naturally, we must also disclose your personal information
as required by law or legal process or to enforce our own
legal rights, or to protect the rights, property or safety
of CallWriter.com, LogiCapital Corporation, CallWriter Seminars,
Inc., our users, or others. This includes exchanging information
with other companies and organizations for fraud protection
and credit risk reduction.
The above limited
exceptions aside, we will not sell, rent or otherwise share
your personal information without your prior written permission,
PERIOD. This policy costs us money,
because our subscribers are highly desirable customers and
other businesses would be willing to pay dearly for your personal
data! We also do not sell or share purely demographic
data about you - data that cannot even be personally identified
to you. We just say no.
How
Secure is Your Information?
We
work to protect the security of your information during the
ordering process by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software,
which encrypts information you input. The TRUST WAVE logo
you see on secure pages ("https://" pages) also
ensures that all pages that are part of our ordering process
are as secure as can be.
We obtain your credit card number, expiration date and CVV
code (card verification code - the last 3 digits on the
back of the card, or four digits on the front of American
Express cards) when processing a payment from you to
us. Here is how we handle that data, which is in accordance
with credit-card industry PCC DSI standards:
| Card
Number: |
We
retain the number but encrypt it. |
| Expiration
Date: |
We
retain this data, unencrypted. |
| CVV
Code : |
We
use this number to process the first charge but then do
not retain it. |
Your
account records contain only the last four digits of the card
number - unencrypted - and the expiration date. Thus our employees
can see only those last four digits and expiration date -
never the entire card number. Since we do not retain the CVV
code, it cannot be accessed by any employee or officer.
Warning:
Because emails from CallWriter.com or CallWriter Seminars
can be spoofed, never click a link in an email to access your
CallWriter account. Instead, go to www.callwriter.com and
click on the "My Account" link at the top of our
home page.
It
is important for you to protect against unauthorized access
to your password and to your computer. After viewing your
personal information on your "My Account"
page, be sure to sign off when finished - especially if using
a shared computer.
NOTE:
We will not under any circumstances call or email you asking
for username, password or credit card information. We already
have it, so we have no need to ask you for it!
Marketing Offers to our Subscribers
We may from time
to time present special offers to our subscribers (not
often, and only things we think you really want to see)
on behalf of a third party. But we will transmit the
third-party offer to you and will never give your personal
information to the third parties. The only way they will obtain
your personal information is if YOU give it to them directly.
